  2. Opening Night Party at The Penthouse

    Join us for a fabulous opening party at The Penthouse at One East Avenue, offering views of the city skyline to Lake Ontario from the 11th floor wrap-around terrace and glass-walled party room. Mingle with visiting filmmakers and film fans and enjoy decadent desserts, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar plus live movie-themed music from the band Backstory, also playing rock and R&B classics. Admission: $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

  7. Short Films by the Women of RIT’s School of Film and Animation

    1 hour 30 mins
    A tradition since the festival began in 2001, High Falls features a shorts program showcasing work by the female students of the School of Film and Animation (SOFA) at Rochester Institute of Technology. Ten films will take the screen this year, focused on an array of topics from a disgruntled T-Rex, end-of-life experiences, pigs as pets, and selling your soul for a sandwich — told in video, 3D, animation, and puppets.
